2025 Year in Review: What We Launched
As 2025 wraps up, it’s been another amazing year here at FORM!
We’re very proud to have launched our new PRO goggle, which delivers unparalleled lens durability (partnering with Corning) and ensures fog-free swimming every time you swim.
Major software updates included launching HeadCoach™ 2.0, a comprehensive update of our digital coaching platform that puts you and your swim goals at the centre of the experience. With personal feedback now available after every session, and a clear focus for your next one.
We can safely say we’re ending the year with our strongest FORM experience ever, especially with the announcement this week that SwimStraight™ is now part of our core features!
We couldn’t have done it without you, our swimmers. Thank you for every idea, piece of feedback, and the countless laps and lengths of testing. Here’s what we built together.
January: Time-To-Neutral Skill Arrives
We started the year by expanding our HeadCoach™ Skills set, with the Time-To-Neutral (TTN) in-goggles skill game.
Our new Time-To-Neutral skill gives swimmers real-time feedback on every breath cycle, showing how each breath timing compares to their rolling average. It’s a small, precise piece of technique coaching, now with a skill game to train with and improve your technique.
March: What Is Your “Why”
Next, we introduced the ability to set a swim Objective and a countdown to Race Day, which, if you’re a Premium subscriber, feeds into generating an effective HeadCoach™ Plan, based on your Objective, swimming history and timeframe you’re swimming within.
Whether you’re swimming for fitness, to improve technique, or prepping for an event, capturing your motivation helps personalize your FORM experience, workouts, and supports better habits. Personally, I love that I can now see my race day countdown in the app!
This update was foundational not only because clarity fuels consistency, but also because this component, adding an Objective, was an important element of our HeadCoach™ 2.0 revamp that came later this year.
SwimStraight™ is now part of our core features
May: Open Water Upgrades
Each open-water off-season, we spend time reviewing feedback and developing plans to enhance our open-water swim experiences and stability.
Last winter, we stress-tested BLE behaviour, strengthened watch-to-goggle reconnection logic, and refined UX flows to remove unnecessary friction. The goal was simple: fewer drops, faster recovery, and a smoother open water experience for everyone, which we delivered!
SwimStraight™ Improvements
We also extended SwimStraight calibration to 12 hours, allowing swimmers, especially triathletes, to warm up, calibrate once, and race with confidence.
Streaks
In May, we also introduced Streaks, a new non-Premium feature designed to help swimmers stay consistent, one of the biggest predictors of long-term improvement.
Complete one swim a week to keep your streak alive, and FORM takes care of the motivation with push notifications, in-app celebrations, and simple, steady accountability.
Streaks make it easier for you to build momentum and keep showing up.
Smart Swim 2 PRO arrives featuring Corning® Gorilla® Glass
July: Smart Swim 2 PRO Launches
One of our biggest milestones for the year: Introducing FORM Smart Swim 2 PRO.
Our latest goggles, featuring Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3, tackle two pain points head-on: durability and fogging. For years, goggles have been a perishable good, with a six-month lifespan. PRO packs all the tech, will last for years on end, and ensures your goggles don’t fog through application of our simple, but very effective, anti-fog spray.
Launched in July to overwhelmingly positive feedback, PRO is already reshaping expectations for what swim eyewear can be, while Ray Maker also confirmed our claims in his review, rough-housing his PRO goggles on his pool deck, and they stood up to the test, with no issues.
July (Part Two): HeadCoach™ Plans + Smart Set
Coinciding with our PRO launch, July also delivered two sizeable software upgrades:
HeadCoach™ Plans
Dynamic, personalized plans built from your swim data, goals, and progress. HeadCoach™ Plans evolve with you, adjusting for adherence, volume, and your HeadCoach™ Swimmer Type.

Smart Set
For swimmers who don’t follow guided workouts, Smart Set creates structure as you swim, grouping sets in real-time to keep you oriented and engaged without changing your natural flow. Great for swimming with a squad or when swimming your own workout.

Our biggest digital coaching update to date
November: HeadCoach™ 2.0
We closed the year with our most ambitious software release yet: HeadCoach™ 2.0, a major evolution of our digital coaching ecosystem and the closest we’ve ever come to putting a coach directly in your goggles.
HeadCoach 2.0 identifies what’s holding you back, highlights the single most important thing to focus on next, and turns your data into clear, immediate guidance.
After every swim, you get a tailored insight, just like an on-deck coach would deliver, along with a focus for your next session and guidance on how to execute it. In the goggles, swimmers now see pre-swim coaching cues and FORM Score, post-swim, completing the full coaching loop from motivation to execution to reflection.
Developed using the world’s largest dataset on swim technique, HeadCoach 2.0 brings expert-level coaching to every swimmer and triathlete, personalized to your objective, whether improving technique, preparing for a race, or building confidence in the water.
